"Ohayashi" is a kind of Japanese music using flute and taiko-drums. Its lively style depicting festivity is mainly derived from the taiko rhythms.

This percussion trio combines two main Ohayashi styles: a lifting and lively rhythm and more sedate, calm rhythm.
The work has many opportunities to feature ensemble and individual virtuosity within synchronized unison rhythms, varied percussion instrumentation, and solo features.
The performer and the audience can share the excitement and delicate nature of Ohayashi music.
